(What's a Monthly Singing?)

 

Sacred Harp singers leave their politics and their religious differences at the door. They gather to sing and fellowship, not debate. The spectrum of beliefs represented by the Sacred Harp singers of Oregon ranges from atheist to very conservative Protestant and the middle includes Quakers, Budhists, Roman Catholics, secular humanists, Lutherans, Wiccans, Unitarians, and more.

Eugene 2nd & 4th THURSDAYS East Blair Housing Co-operative's Community Space. Park on Adams,

Portland

1st FRIDAYS: People's Food Co-op - 3029 SE 21st Ave, in the Community Room (upstairs; there's a lift) from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Denson edition singing.

1st  SUNDAYS: Uses the Cooper Edition of The Sacred Harp; Enterbeing - 1603 NE Alberta, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Potluck supper follows — bring a dish to share, as you are able.

2nd SUNDAYS: Waverly Heights UCC - 3300 SE Woodward St., from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Denson edition singing.

3rd SUNDAYS: Cedar Hills UCC - 11695 SW Park Way, corner of Cedar Hills Blvd and SW Park Way, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Denson edition singing.

4th SUNDAYS: McMenamins Kennedy School - 5736 NE 33rd Ave, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Denson edition singing, with 1st hour a free singing school.

Last THURSDAYS: McMenamins Kennedy School - 5736 NE 33rd Ave - in the Community Room (SE corner of building) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Denson edition singing.

5th SUNDAYS: Peninsula Baptist - 2653 N. Lombard, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Denson edition singing
